Must Read

• Know Your Place: My top rec, it has everything; a serious well developed plot, a confident & sexy Utena, Baiser acting more cunning, Baiser gaining reputation as a hero, Utena/Kiwi/Sayo throuple, Utena getting seduced, deeper lore. And despite all that, it feels very grounded, like it could be canon.
• Gushing Succubus: Another great fic. It roughly follows canon events with the core difference being Baiser actively building a harem, so acts seductively and the punishments are more overtly sexual. It also includes an interesting exploration of Utena's feelings regarding her Baiser persona, and Tres Magia's emotional struggles (love conflicting with duty, stress of public opinion, shame etc). It does however have pacing issues. Also, I have to warn it's quite a 'heavy' read, in terms of prose, length and themes (It gets very dark).
• Unacceptable Truths (Completed): Sulphur learns the bitter truth about Baiser. Very well written, would fit perfectly in canon. Only complaint is the annoying fake accent.
• Lines: A more mature and serious take on the series, with Utena acknowledging that her attitude and behavior as Baiser is toxic, and realizing she needs to change. This leads to her strengthening her bonds with the entire cast, a deeper exploration of BDSM and Baiser actively working to gain Tres Magia's consent.
• Careful what you wish for, Hero: Set 10 years after canon, the cast have moved on with their lives, while Utena alone still desperately clings to her role as Baiser and Sayo doing what she can to support her. Don't be fooled by the initial smut, there's some real plot here (Chapter 5 especially is where it really kicks off).

Fun Scenarios

• The Adventures of Magia Violet! (Completed): Comedy where Utena gets recruited as a Magical Girl and tries to play both sides while keeping it secret from everyone.
• Twisting Vines: Utena chooses to become a villain hoping to help TresMagia (maintain their popularity and protect them from bigger threats), gets recruited by a different mascot. She ends up on amicable terms with TresMagia as she lacks her Baiser-persona, resulting in her coming off as 'a clumsy adorable "villainess" nobody can bring themselves to hate'. It's quite rough around the edges. The characters feel a bit OOC, everything is heavily Americanized (dialogue, setting, etc) and features very juvenile humor. Though most of it's faults can be overlooked if you treat it as an American AU.
• Rise of the Devil: An interesting scenario where Utena gets transformed but doesn't join Enormeeta and after her identity is leaked (Vena sharing transformation video), ends up under Tres Magia’s protection. Hard to explain more without spoilers so, at the end of part 1 ('Freed Devil'): Baiser becomes publicly recognized as a hero after saving Tres Magia from Enormeeta attack, officially becoming their ally. So Utena ends up in a unique position where she can transform and use her magic freely in public.
• Fork in the Road: Baiser ends up in another world where Utena has recently become a magical girl, Viola. It has a fun dynamic of the more confident Baiser acting like Viola's older sister trying to help her come out of her shell. Unfortunately there isn't much to read yet, it still feels like it's in the introductory arc.
• Motherly Advice: Set immediately after chapter 3 of the manga, this fic explores Utena learning of and employing proper BDSM etiquette. That— along with the fact Tres Magia are made aware Baiser is being blackmailed by Vena— redefines her encounters with Tres Magia, defeats now leading to consensual BDSM sessions. Utena also actively works to seduce Tres Magia, hoping to win their love and make them hers.

In case anyone wasn't aware, there was some recent news, the manga will be getting published on a new site that launches on October 17th. Whether that means a new chapter or not remains to be seen.

There’s a chance they will serialise all the existing series again there (re-release by chapter from the start) instead of migrating all the existing pages and continue. If that’s the case, not expecting it will be back that soon.
