(As for how you cook a Romanesco: just treat it like a cauliflower. Cut it into bite-sized chunks and either boil it in water or steam it, then after a few minutes when it's gone a bit softer, you take it out and can throw it into your curry. The only trick is getting the right consistency, not too mushy and not too raw, but that's the same as with a cauliflower.)

It's been established since...basically the start, that they're not bad people. They've just been forced into these particular roles by a scheming alien bat thing, with their personal issues forcibly directed through particular pathways that are a bit destructive.

Utena has nothing but love and admiration for the magical girls; she was led into a situation where the only tool she has to express that is sadistically watching them writhe in pleasure. I think we can assume pretty well that everyone has a similar thing going on. So I wouldn't blame any of the actual people.

What a cute chapter! Having Makina as the focus was a real delight! And seeing her interactions with things happening around her was pretty adorable. Watching Enormeeta helping her out behind the scenes was pretty wholesome. My favorite moment has to be with Leber and Nero Alice helping her get some ice cream. I love the sisterly bond with those two. I got to give a shout out the Utena in the end of getting back at Momo for buying all the onions. I'm glad to see her, take one back to give to Makina. All in all, this was very fun story! Thank you so much for translating this chapter!
