That said...something that came to mind. Do prosecutors losing to Yuuri count as "being defeated"?
It's established that a magic girl's "defeat" is only punishable when it is to a monster. That's why Lemon was able to get a "not guilty" verdict in the last arc, because she was defeated by another magical girl, not a normal monster.

Well... i guess this chapter answer very clearly the questions "Why magical girls accept these rules? Why they even become magical girls? Why they don't rebel?"
Is really that easy to get away with it. And for most magical girls is just easy money. What we see at the court is the exception, not the rule.

Never thought I'd see Etna be prosecuted by Sakuya in an Ace Attorney parody but sometimes mad lib manga exists.

Wait so did this brat just accidentally found the perfect loophole to get away with defeat for magical girls in this setting? Just undo the transformation right before defeat and you are free to go! You just need a lawyer that can point this out.
I mean, you also have to face the monsters intentions without any magic girl protection, so it's not something most would do on purpose.
But still, the brat did manage to help people by sacrificing herself as a fellow citizen. And if she undid her transformation out of public eye then there's even less of an aspect of a magic girl defeat to worry about.

I expect making a habit of it or doing it in public on purpose might be seen as collusion or something (trying to make magic girls look useless) but that's not what was being tried this time.

That question has already been answered. They dont know the rules until they get defeated and are sent to trial. This girl just got lucky because she so happened to undo her transformation before surrenduring.

I honestly thought this was going to be Yuuri's first loss. Also, I forgot that Aoi wasn't around to see Lemon "blow her orgasmic load".

Chocolat: "I'm not as sweet as Lemon." It's pretty obvious she's bitter.

Also, I may have mentioned this, but I think the author gave us some milestones at the end of the first chapter. I feel that all four girls shown at the end there will be the plot relevant ones: Lemon, Shikimi, The Chevalier and Makura. I guessing well sorta come back to Shikimi at some point.
I've always suspected that at some point we'll see Yuuri defending her sister. I also expect that everyone in the group shot on the first page of chapter one will have a role to play in the story.

While others have weighted in, I think they have missed a crucial requirement. That combat was halted while she divested herself of her magic girl powers and then her clothing.

So the first implementation of this loophole only worked because there was a pause of aggressions, and was allowed to change back into a civilian before apologizing. Most magic girls wouldn't get that kind of leeway in their own defeats. Especially if their opponents were unintelligent beasts or aggressive belligerent.

Not really. Look like this girl was especially naive and ignorant. The court is not a secret. They even have audience apparently participating for entertainment. Sometime even broadcasting videos of the punishments. There is no way the average magical girl is unaware of it.

It's established that a magic girl's "defeat" is only punishable when it is to a monster.

I was a little disappointed when the Punishment Sentence was Bell Toll and not a spanking but lo and behold only a few pages later I got my wish anyway. I was fool to ever think that the author wouldn't deliver, I'll never doubt them again. Bravo! :chad::clap:
