I feel like there was some deep-seated resentment in this chapter towards how you'd be forced into Pokemon battles as soon as a trainer saw you. Which is true; the fact you can't simply decline is rude.

Why do I get the feeling that the writer of this manga was a western-trained professional? He went out of his way to state characters had to be of "legal" age and takes an anti-Pokémon stance that's similar to 1990s PETA. Both views would've been highly present on university campuses a few decades ago.

Of course, another common view on university campuses would've also included alot of providing free or reduced cost healthcare to those who needed it, so it's not all bad.

A little annoying that the tamer boy is given a more severe punishment than the annoying murderous incubus.
Unreasonable and unequal punishments in a pet peeve of mine, for any type of story.
If a violent tamer gets enslaved, than a rapey and murderous incubus should also be enslaved at the minimum.
