I still don't understand why the military is so keen to antagonize Tatsuya. I know what outside the 101st unit, they don't know about his value as a strategic magician. But I feel like their action is too excessive.

And it's unfortunate that Kazama doesn't want to be on his side. Though I get that they also don't want to be too dependent on him.

I think it's mostly because tatsuya hurt their ego from defeating them on the last arc.
