thanks for the translation! hope the next arc will soon get some chapters as well. :3

as for the story, i was very surprised neither juumonji nor saegusa could see past the project ideals to see how it would send the strongest magicians of different countries into space for a task that would require a ton more people. why would they not recommend themselves or join on their own, if they believe this project to be such a massive benefit. our MC might be a technical genius, but he was still initially placed in a low rank for his overall "weak" magic output.

Thanks so much for wrapping up another Mahouka arc! @geishadow_ really appreciate your work (though sorry I can only say thanks :(

Huh, I'm surprised that Shizuku didn't join the crew.

I think it's because they didn't know how strong Tatsuya was. I meant they went there thinking they could beat him. They wouldn't have imagined that he was a core defense in the fight against GAA invasion.

To them, Tatsuya was only requested because of his brain. Losing a smart engineer isn't that big of a deal.

I'm sure they would realize if the request was for them because they see themselves as strong magicians that are important to Japan.

I also find that very suspicious because Tatsuya is technically strong but as everyone knows that he's incapable of doing much complex magic because his magic calculation area is filled with regrowth and decomposition. Saegusa should've known this since yokohama incident and infact she's the one who said that.

There's also the fact that they just don't have enough manpower for the scale of the project they are trying to do and more people should've realized this. I think they just been manipulated and that explanation does make sense because essentially this is just a ruse by Edward Clark to banish every strategic class magician. He's also very creepy and seems to have god complex and thinks that the world need to be ruled by human and by proxy him.

likely due to her family being a strong factor in local Business and Finance departments. but maybe she's doing some behind-the-scenes support work for tatsuya, she did once ask him to be her personal engineer, so tatsuya joining her fathers company, even if both her parents had been suspicious of tatsuya already, could be a key stone in his defense going further.
