While I can see Tatsuya getting along romantically with other girls, I absolutely cannot see Miyuki feeling the same with other boys. Her heart will instantly freeze up without the need of her powers, if any other boy tries to get that close to her!

That is true, but that also comes from the western POV. From the Japanese POV, Mayumi, Erika, Honoka etc are more flashy eye candy, but Miyuki is more in line with IRL Japanese standards of beauty.
