@depzdai Nope, he was 'the best' since the moment he was born (because the things that truly make him best are his inherent powers). Since he never needed that experimentation done on him to be the best, he actually paid a tragic price for almost nothing significant in return; that experiment was done so that he can use 'normal' magic, but he almost never uses it, as it's 'practically useless' with his 'artificially created' ability. This's also why Yotsuba considered him a failed experiment, as they acknowledged that the experiment was a failure in the true sense.
