Thanks for the chapter!
LN has more detail. Basically since she was scarred by a spirit the wound will never fully heal, other spirits won't go near her due to the wound so she can't be healed or harmed by spirit magic, and because injured by a spirit and rejected by spirits in a culture heavily involved in using and respecting spirits consider her a contemptible person based on their own prejudices without bothering to learn about circumstances or how and why it happened. Kind of like becoming tone deaf in a city of musicians with every aspect of life revolving around music.
Seems odd the adults consider two kids engaged with a childhood promise of her waiting for him. Reminds me of some of those stories in fantasy novels where traveler gets caught in a weird local tradition of doing x with a young woman of marriageable age means they're married with x being something like walking around the fields together at night, one of them receiving and wearing a flower from the other, kiss on the lips, etc.
Looks like he's going to grow up head over heels in love with her while being as prickly as a cactus with everyone else. She seems to like being with him, isn't afraid of his black hair, but does she just like him or love him too?
@feha Scar doesn't have blessings. Basically residual magic or essence from the fire spirit in the wound is informing other spirits she pissed off a major fire spirit and to stay away, similar to how a bee sting releases a scent informing other bees the one who got stung is an enemy and to attack. Since most magic is done through spirits (demon magic is an exception but will find out more about that later,) she can't cast magic because the spirits won't listen to her. Strangely enough this means she won't be targeted by attack magic as the spirits won't use any magic, good or bad, on or towards her. Btw, where's the Kuruuruus version you mentioned, is it in novelupdates.com or some other site?
