@frenchfry I kind of disagree with the rest of the comment section. Yes I get that it's stupid to try to defend the strongest mage from a magic spell with your body. That much is true. But this kind of thing is usually out of reflex, not something you can take a moment to think logically about. For most of us in that kind of situation we probably would just close our eyes or just freeze up on the spot. Like if someone throws a rock at you for example from like 3 meters away I REALLY don't think you will be able to make a logical conclusion in time of what to do. Though I do agree it's stupid that they can't just put a protective spell or something like that on her when they know someone is out to get her.
