Bruh, Hachiya reminds me of goofy characters like Aqua from Konosuba or Satania from Gabriel Dropout. For those two, I often hear that their best feature is, with affection and no sarcasm, being "slightly retarded". Not only that, but he can act smug that approaches the likes of Uzaki or Nagatoro.

Because of this, I honestly think Hachiya has actual woman moments, and this is especially the case when he is crossdressing.

Regardless if it leads to a hook up, Hachiya's attraction to Ikegai is textual from chapter 1. Hachiya doesn't even seem to care about Ikegai's gender per se, he just thinks his feelings for Hanazono are more important and feels pathetic for falling for his own romantic rival.
