He wasn't just taken out of the match. He was literally locked up in his room and prevented from leaving until the match was almost over, witnessing his best friend suffer from an injury.

He was basically the team leader and the carry for his team, so they literally couldn't win without him and he blamed himself for it.

I would have understood feeling a bit guilty for the match fixing if he had followed some adult orders without knowing the reason but having to "atone" for it after getting kidnapped and made to watch is retarded.

Ruining his own school life for literally no reason, I detest this protagonists with a messiah complex that feel like they have a cross on their back and it was nailed there from themselves.

Without wanting to read any of the spoilers, I can certainly guess the MC's burden is going to be much ado about nothing, just like his whole personality (while being also the top student, to boot) that the teacher is so worried about.

For once, in a situation like this, it would actually be interesting if the MC had actually killed a person in the past. Or course not as a murder, but as a pure accident, with no negligence, or justified self-defence. He would have been judged as fully not guilty, or however it would go with an underage person, not responsible for anything and thus not subjected to any official actions or monitoring. However, he himself just couldn't fully emotionally accept not being responsible for any of it, not to mention he would always remember taking someone's life.

It seems like I'm in the minority where I feel like Emma is being used too much as a plot device to tie the leads together. I also don't like how they spoil her too much imo although I am basking in the cuteness overload.
