I'm avoiding the spoilers but at this point his dark past has got to be either "he once borrowed an eraser and forgot to say thank you afterwards" or "the literal reincarnation of Hitler". The way this is getting played up is starting to get a bit over the top.

Earring girl (yeah I forgot her name already) both figuring things out almost instantly so she can poke the leads while also defending the MC is pretty good. Hope she sticks around in the story to keep the romance part moving forward.
