To begin with, you may notice our MC lives alone. This is because he is essentially under the supervision of a massive corporation. When our MC was younger, he was a soccer/football prodigy. The corporation took him out of a significant match because of a conflict of interest between the corporation's clients, the opposing team, and our MC. It also just so happens that the MC's best friend was on his team as well, which is why he feels guilty and needs to "atone."

It's not the MOST realistic plot/explanation for his past trauma but I'm sure there are similar situation that happen in the real world.

Remember, this is a romcom first, and not as much of a drama. It's mainly about the dynamic between Charlotte, Emma, and our MC. While the past trauma does come into play, it serves more as a plot device to show character growth over time.

It's admittedly a bit underwhelming from a story perspective, but if it happened in real life it would really suck. This is essentially like being adopted, owned, and raised by a corporation, with all of your hard work and dreams being ripped from you because of corporate politics. At the very least, this is the exact reason why our MC is a bit of a loser from the start. Thankfully we have British waifu and her younger sister come in clutch.

1) A dotted outline to indicate a missing thing will likely always be one of my favorite cartoon / comic things.

Page 18 is when it gets weirder to me, especially when the upper right panel is fine. But is okay because she is cute, she does act like a believable kid, reminds me of a friend's daughter.

I like when a manga I didn't know gets picked up half way through, that way the chapters can come within 1-2 week from each other and maybe the story will end in the meantime....unless it gets licensed, dropped by the translators and you have to wait 1-2 YEARS to catch up...looking at you Lvl1 demon lord to One room hero

That last part literally happened to the manga "Destroy All Humans, They Do Not Regenerate". There was one chapter left and then it got licensed, so we'll never get the ending for years.
