Whenever I read a chapter or even manually mark something as read using the eye icon, it simply shows as unread again the moment I refresh the page.

I noticed they do get marked, but with a delay

Read markers were temporarily delayed, this happens occasionally when the site is under high load. Nothing is lost, and they've all caught up now.
