hmm, might be a differing language thing. Delkira would never make us think Ali, but if we read it with the l's and r's as interchangeable we'd get Derkila which would correlate with Ali being the last three letters in reverse or Ali Kred

Gonna push back on the accusations that Iruma becoming a demon is him turning into a cliche shonen protag.

Those stories do the protag demon transformation as a way to become more powerful. Iruma is doing it because he hates humanity so much he'd rather be a demon. That's not a power up, everyone else around him are demons, he's doing it to fit in with everybody even more. Especially since for the past few arcs, he has been forgetting he's human and has to be reminded that he's still human.

So like a lot have guessed the ring is connected to Delkira. The question is; is he sealed inside it, is just a part of him inside it, or is it just an artifact he enchanted?

Yeah, I wondered what the rings' connection to Delkira was, too. We see Delkira's image from the ring multiple times. When are we gonna get answers??

The demon possessed ring, that gave itself to him in chapter 7 "The Person to Become Demon King", is possessed by the previous Demon King... makes sense.

my take would be that delkira was a demon that fell in love with the human world and a specific free spirited human with who he got a kid named iruma after left is demon part/power in the netherworld.
after many years of low treatment of his child his old subordinate named sulivan found delkira and expected to bring him back.
delkira still in love with the human world refused and send iruma as his replacement. iruma being the kid of delkira is like the prince of the neverworld so sulivan accept and iruma by chance reach to the lost power of delkira called arikured.

that would explains many thing as why sulivan looked for a human to be his grandchild, why did iruma get the power of ali, why the parents were never clearly represented, where the free spirited delkira disappeared from the neitherworld, how iruma’s parent could be this abusive with their kids etc

thats probably close but given how long its been since delkira left its more likely iruma is delkira's descendant than his direct child.

Do we know Delkira's parentage? What if Delkira was a former human who ended up turning into a demon. We all know that humans are creatures of desire, and that desire makes a strong demon.

So I guess Iruma may be the son of the Demon King and a human? Was hoping to have him meet his "parents" in the human world so we can see what they look like. Wouldn't be surprised if they weren't his biological parents. Thanks for the chapter!!!
