Baal's biggest fuckup will be underestimating the amount of support Iruma has. There's more than a few big figures backing him and if the princess is willing to throw out tradition to back Baal then nobody else really has any reason to follow her unquestioningly. Though honestly this will probably end with Iruma winning the princess over.

Baal can be hated, but his planning is really thorough.

His goal is to be the demon king, so the 3 greats are the immediate obstacle, and he needed something extremely severe to bring them down. Luckily for him, iruma is a human, and keeping/raising human is prob among the most severe crimes. But the derkila crest is providing them immunity, so he needed to get rid of it without being considered treason. For that, he planned to get to the one that hold absolute authority rn, and obviously the most oblivious demon of authority ever.

With the presence of the princess that sides with him, he can do whatever without the 3 greats, or anyone else, shutting him down.

The only way i can think of to delay/stop this is with other crowns, but quite a few of them will be busy with iruma side instead

It'll be fun to see some kind of civil war within the crowns & greats tho

Why is Princess Shura so naive? Powerful people/factions train their children from a very young age how to conduct themselves (e.g., to think before speaking, to consider political machinations, power politics, etc.). Do the deity class simply think they are above all of that? Unlikely unless they have overwhelming power that the demons cannot contest with it at all.

Where is Shura's guardian? Does Shura even have the right to be claiming to supporting one demon faction over another? It would be funny if Shura's comments create chaos and at the height of the chaos, Father Shura arrives, bows his head and says sorry for the trouble his Baka-daughter caused, and just leaves.

Things are moving insanely fast but while there has been a bunch of build-up, I feel like either a lot of things have to go Baal's way for the story to last long enough to give closure on a bunch of side threads of he's just going to get shut down like halfway into the story because so much shit is still stacked against him that he can't be aware of. Like Iruma's personal connnections alone covers 5 of the 13 crowns (Sullivan, Bachiko, Mephisto, Amuryllis, Henri), and the Barbatos clan of the Three Heroes, and Baal is making enemies of the other two Three Greats as well. Plus, there's no way Amduscias lets this slide unless Baal successfully spins a story about it being necessary to bring back Delkira, but he's stacking so many lies that having others simply communicate to each other clearly about what has happened would bring him down. The Three Greats - or Sullivan and Mephisto at any rate, also saw Iruma get the first shot off against Behemoth, and Mephisto in particular also should have figured the connection between the barrier that blocked Iruma's shot and the barrier put up by Amy from Border Control, which could at the very least implicate both Narnia and Baal for collusion (given Amy is under Narnia - well, Fenrir's command, and that Amy didn't interfere with Baal's strike on Behemoth). While Baal is the current "Big Bad", and realistically conflict arrives soon, it's way too early for Iruma to take the throne (imo the natural conclusion of the story) - honestly I had the initial impression that between Narnia and Baal, Narnia would be the first to over-extend, but I feel like now the story's going to shift massively and in the aftermath either Baal will be a distant final threat or slightly more likely an incapacitated idiot while the following arcs will be dealing with the fallout.
