To comment on the rice thingy.
Why we even cook rice:
_ Rice is a hard grain. It is ill-suited for human to consume it raw
_ Therefore, we cook in order to make it easier to eat.
_ water + heat soften the grain and the grain expand in size because it absorbs the water
_ most of the pesticides and chemicals that were sprayed onto the plants are blocked by the rice husks. These rice husks are cracked opened after the farmers harvest them. These newly cracked rice is not White in color but brownish. These rice then get further processed and milled down the gran part until it is now white. As u can see, a lot of the outer layers of the grain has already been removed. It’s utterly idiotic to think that there are still chemicals inside and if there is chemicals inside even after all those processes, you are better off not eating at all. Washing and draining after cooking it is the same as washing cotton candy before eating.
_ we wash the grain before we cook mostly to remove the dirt and anything unclean when it was stored.
For Fried rice:
_ the key issue with fried rice is that it has to be separated grain by grain, not sticking together or mushy.
_ storing it in the refrigerator or leave it after a day or cook with less water is solely to make it easier to turn into fried rice. There is no magic or special thing about this so stop making it like u has to do some special preparation to make it Fried Rice.
Seriously, all of these knowledge of how to cook coming primarily from observation of physics and nature, they are result of common sense are u people claiming you are so lacking in common sense that much?
