Am I wrong or does this line of thinking not fit the demon world. As far as we know its just a 2d panted image with no magic right?
I think it perfectly fits logic with the demon world instead, I mean if we're talking about the real world it's simply painting nothing supernatural about it, but in a fantasy demon world, it's perfectly normal for a demon to paint a "cursed" painting with it's supernatural powers. Heck, they're using magic on a daily basis...

Near the end you can see Beem paint with their tail instead of a brush; I think it's safe to assume their bloodline magic is involved.

They are from a family of artists, after all; I wouldn't be surprised if they all imbue magic into their works

Really feeling for Silvia. Wants everyone to see Beem's painting. However, given last years battler and the history of Beem's paintings causing mental distress, I can't fault Kalego for saying no. At least they can still have the haunted house.

I wonder how Silvia, Beem, or Iruma will resolve this.

Suffering from success.

I have seen that expression a lot recently.

I respect that even if they want to paint and show their art so much... Beem has consideration to be careful showing it.

I am against censorship as much as anyone, but when the art, in this case, has a repeatable, observable, and severe effect on the psyche of people... I can't fault Kalego-sensei for saying no.

But I am curious how the 05 council would categorize Beem's masterpiece.
Probably safe class due to the fact that they can just easily contain it

Magic in this series isn't really some kind of quantifiable energy or something. There's no such thing as mana or whatever.

Take for example; the Demon King's authority. Sullivan once said that the Demon King's will is the will of all of Hell. If the Demon King wants a path through a mountain, the entirety of Hell would make it. As viewers, we don't really consider it magical despite how absurd that is. The painting is similar as that.

A lot of interesting potential here, succeeded too hard, so now we've got to find our solution. The work of a commissioner is never done.
