He probably didn't get the hint that the family he insulted is also the main military force of their country either, meaning even if they did win against them in a rebellion it's likely they'd be invaded by enemy nations once everything was over with as they'd lose at least half of their military force.

Also no this isn't pedophilia since that actually requires a sexual relationship which it isn't yet and i doubt it will become one as long as the manga is running, and like it or not, political marriages between people of this age group did happen and far worse, i remember stories of 4 year olds being engaged to 20 year olds in rare cases (though usually those were also not sexual relationships either. at least not until they became older if at all, as it was also customary to "marry" someone who had no one to care for them to a older person as at one time the idea of adoption wasn't common, and a man and woman no matter the age difference being under the same roof and not married was a taboo).

Sure pedo stuff is irk , but people gotta be aware of the setting of a story, we are talking medieval sort of times, back then this wasn't a concept, if the story addresses it, that could ruin it's own immersion of the setting ,so once again it makes no sense for people to get mad even if it does happen
(Also at least it isn't promoting a bunch of irk old behaviours as good like some other romance manga with fairy tale on the name)

yet the author themself did censure the age of the prince when it was say a couple of chapter ago, if you are uncomfortable righting a young character in a romance maybe don't or properly address the thing.
now I do not really care it is a story but the censure of the age did make me laugh
also right now their the age of the prince make no difference to the plot so this choice could have been not made and just justify he was small because he did not eat and voila
