I am okay with her letting it go like this. It shows that she has already moved on and is no longer affected by him. It shows that she too has grown and changed.

And I don’t think he has it that easy either. He has lost his emotional support. His reputation at work might be ruined after the words of what happened tonight spread. He has to live with all his longing and yearning.

I kinda pity him. I think that he is a perfectionist, and I recently realized that I am actually one too (which came as a surprise to me, because I am very sloppy with my personal life). It is very stressful being a perfectionist. It can be advantageous if correctly managed, but I don’t think he has learned to manage. Every small mistake counts, and it only starts to snowball from there. If you do not stay on the perfect path, then you have fallen from grace, no middle path whatsoever.

I am not saying that he is right however. It is just that I can kinda understand him, but those pasts and personality of him only explain but not excuse his behavior.
