what i think about when i read this manga:

Witches and Cigarettes... certainly something I would've never thought of in a million years.

I think the best part is the characters. You don't really need to have some super deep backstory or hours reading through it to get attached to them. It was really easy for me to actually care about them and what's happening around the world. That's how good they are. That's how fun I have just watching their lives.

I guess the only thing I would really complain about is the plot holes. Like, how the hell did the apartment complex even survive after falling from 2km in the damn air? How did the tallest plant ever not cause global outrage? Wtf is a 100 leaf clover? Although, maybe that's more of a nitpick than anything.

Would definitely recommend it. Don't even mind the erotica tag. Not like you're gonna be able to wank it or flick it using THIS of all things.

A theory I've had about what happened to Shien is she got caught by the witch hunters after covering Tama's escape in the past and ended up selling out other witches to save her own skin.

Mode's backstory showed the witch hunters were interested in capturing and questioning witches to find where the rest were. Maybe that's what they did with Shien.

It would explain why Shien doesn't have so much as a scratch on her unlike Mode and why she can't bear to keep living without being constantly drugged up as well as the low self-esteem and why she won't talk about it to Tama. Especially if she had to watch the witches she betrayed being killed.

Sure, it's super grimdark but whatever happened to Shien had to have been pretty awful. Only I think it was less about what happened to her and more what she did that she's trying to forget.
