Easy on the sarcasm, there. How fun.
Or she was the demon king all along.Demon king killed princess. Or princess became demon king
Maybe the real Demon King was the rockworms we tamed along the way.Or she was the demon king all along.
Good question. Probably the latter since the babies will be orcs and orcs are their natural enemy in the first place, that said i don't think the author wants to show the elves killing babies even if they're orc babies so if we see nothing i'll assume that's what happened.I'm still mildly curious if the mangaka will keep updating us on how the elves that got pregnant will handle the situation, for now it's shown that they didn't commit suicide, as was mentioned was their custom, and have resolved themselves to "be happy", so now what, are they going to raise their orc babies as elves or kill them right after being born?
It seems they are adopting Will's pragmatism as their new way of life, but it's also implied that they might be a bit too extreme with the implementation.
I will wonder, however, if it's possible to raise orcs to behave differently than they're usually portrayed. From that epic battle with the orc warlord or whatever, it seemed their savagery was how they were taught to live, which I imagine would happen after the babies were born from the mothers that were enslaved to bear children. That would be the standard for orcs being born among orcs. But orcs being born among another species like elves? There may be some feelings of outcast later, sure, but if raised right, orcs could become a valuable asset of fighting forces for the elves, and as dark as this may sound, but if those orcs don't prove their worth by then, well, they can always be expendable meat shields. So Satsuki (learned her master's technique), Mii (learned Aura) and Will (mana capacity increased) all powered up throughout the story. Next has to be Cyril with her magic studies.

I'd say the effect Will had on them was to not let the misfortune they went through destroy them, and it gave them a newfound determination to continue to live and be happy.
The elves have negative feelings towards orcs as a species and the scars are very fresh in their minds. While i agree it could be possible to raise orcs to be different, i doubt any elf in that village would allow an orc to live with them in the first place, baby or not.I will wonder, however, if it's possible to raise orcs to behave differently than they're usually portrayed. On a lighter note, that wrapping method is surprisingly effective for elves under depression. I wonder if that's a legit therapeutic technique to relieve negative emotions?
Yeah, since Will made the elves change their whole thinking paradigm I think the new, more pragmatic elves will take the approach that gives them the most gains in the long term instead of acting based on their emotions.I will wonder, however, if it's possible to raise orcs to behave differently than they're usually portrayed. Chapter 36.5 confirms your version.I hope Eileen using that Wedding Dress is because the maids wants her to impress Will, not because she has some arranged marriage/fiancee
Maybe abortion? I guess elves should be good at reproductive medicine.I'm still mildly curious if the mangaka will keep updating us on how the elves that got pregnant will handle the situation, for now it's shown that they didn't commit suicide, as was mentioned was their custom, and have resolved themselves to "be happy", so now what, are they going to raise their orc babies as elves or kill them right after being born?
Probably abortion, contrary to what one might think plants decoctiosn that induce abortion have existed for a long time, heck the Romans used one of those plant to probably extinction (we haven't found any plant similar to their description of it i think). Will, if you really end up fighting the demon king and winning, you will become a hero, or maybe even a great hero.
And if the demon king is the loli on the new cover, and you manage to befriend her and broker peace between humans and demons, you will surely be a great hero. And probably a sage too.
