Is it really a cheat if your just using a superior technique to channel your own mana more efficiently? This isn't the case of the demon using an aim bot, he just had better better map awareness, hand-eye coordination and twitch reflexes. Or are you going to claim that Mr Elf MC little identification spell allowed him to DL an aim bot w/ wall hack mid match and pwned the hacker with his own cheats?

Also, fights in this manga are ridiculously dull. If MC has the time to chant a counter spell, then he has plenty of time to just step to the side to avoid it completely. This would also render tricks like hiding a spell within a spell useless, and MC could immediately return to the offensive instead of focusing on negating the opponent's spell.
