Well we already have time(?) space warping spell like the one where Kunon got his interview, and the arena they were fighting. Resurrection spell is pretty in the realm of possibility.

If Kunon does win, I hope he does it by pulling off some never-before-seen level of being a magic freak nerd, rather than just it being something like him doing a neat little maneuver that outsmarts the prince. Like just make a water version of some fire spell (that nobody thinks should be possible) that the prince uses to cancel it out, or something.
