I realize you're not necessarily saying they're rude for it and that others might, but still. Far less rude than groups sitting on completed chapters and expecting you to follow their existence across other sites, or even on Discord. In my opinion, anyways.

Some of us have far too many manga in their "Reading" list to even think about keeping up with that sort of thing. It shouldn't become a job just to check a bunch of sites "Did [manga] get an update...?".

Seriously. I have 426 titles in my "Reading", another 102 in my "Plan to Read" and another 361 in my "Completed". Could you imagine having to potentially check the sites of all groups involved in translating those on a regular basis? Fuck that.

Like, I get that some translator groups like to keep their website a bit ahead of Mangadex to both avoid aggregators for a bit and to get a bit of revenue and attention on their site, but two months is a lot, and its not like they're not being credited.

And due to the fact that the anime goes a fair bit past this point in the story and that pretty much all the novels have been translated, there's not really going to be many people actively waiting for a new chapter here. Anyone that wants to know what happens next can easily just go and watch the anime or read the novels. I find it unlikely they were getting too much traffic from people looking for the next chapter of this.

Anyways, Nooks is hilarious, isn't he. Just look at him go.

Hey! The rules in the screenshot states that "permanently withholding" chapters is not allowed. So the group did nothing wrong.

Also, if what you're saying is true and they have .1 and .2 already translated, then they're most likely trying to finish translating the entire chapter (3 parts) before uploading, which makes the uploader a complete asshat.

Part that never really stops the aggregator sites?
Most mangas that are many chapters behind cause groups wanna milk ads/whatever on their own sites, are exactly up-to-date on aggregator sites with whats on group sites not on Mangadex.

Like "I Have A Slow Living In Different World" or whats its called, they supposedly forgot for a year to update MD, so they mass added like 10+ chapters or so, but like day before aggregator site that I sometimes check added 2 newer chapters, and it had 1 more chapter added there like a month ago, which was still not added to MD. (Aka they updated from like 30 something up to 45 on MD in a batch, while aggregator site had chapters up to 46 and hours before the mass MD update added chapters 47 and 48)

So I believe the aggregator site excuse is pure bullshit, and the real reason is to force people who can't wait to go to group site to pay with clicks/adds or actual paywalls?
