it's sort of amusing and I see many people really like it, but I can't help feeling the original setup was more interesting

by now Kimura is everything that Ei-kun originally was in the setting with all the dumb events and such, and the seemingly only dynamic remaining to the cast is to revolve around him. Thus the only novel take on the genre clichés anymore is that the characters are more confused than a homeless man on a house arrest

there's only so far that can go before grating (at least on me), but let's see

Okay with the massive amount of misunderstanding (not even with each other, but with themselves), any other manga would be trash but this one is golden

I think my main gripe is the fact that when other mangas do this it’s either because of a lack of self-awareness, they just wrote themselves into a corner and made the misunderstanding plotline cuz that’s the only way they can do it. Or they just want to extend the series without any proper writing.


This manga feels like it 100% knows what its doing and is intentionally swerving this plot railroad into a full on kansai drift to entertain the audience with its absurdity.
