It is quite rare to have fantasy mistery because you have to properly define laws of supernatural... That being said, "that thing that supposed to be there" better be something reader can deduce.

I think it depends. I think if the mysteries are only resolved a la Star-Trek style technobabble, then yeah, no one would feel satisfied. I think part of the enjoyment of mystery fiction for most people is the relationships - like if Col Mustard had a motive to murder his wife, but the murder was actually someone from a rival company trying to frame Col Mustard. And we are seeing relationships and personalities getting fleshed out, so I'm not too worried about babble.
