Honestly? I can't blame anyone too much. The androids are sentient beings and the dad's clearly happy with them, and they're happy with him too. Even though the girl can't get over the fact that she's made of metal, the mom clearly is fine with it—at some point, maybe the daughter will too. They're living a fine life, nothing nefarious going on that I can see.
