I get what you mean when you say that sometimes translating it word for wprd stretches the meaning but I don't think that applies here. Because that phrase wasn't an idiom or anything. It literally meant "You're not different." It just has a similar meaning but translating it into "You're not wrong" just doesn't sit well with me, personally. Yeah, it's just an issue of preference here.

I know this chapter was posted months ago but it has me tearing up in public today. This story is so sweet and hits home incredibly hard. It reminds me of when I first felt that same validation from media as an LGBTQ teen, realizing that I wasnt broken or needed to be fixed. Ugh here come the tears again!!!
