Story seems to be extremely depraved based on the title and synopsis, and it is. However, you realize it's much more than its premise as you progress through the story.

The ending won't win any awards, but it haunts me in a way that I can't explain.

Any series? Like, really truly ANY series? Most of my top 100 most F'ed up series would require permission from the admins to bring up here, if that's actually what you want. I shan't name them here without expressed permission, and I doubt that's really what you're after anyway. No, you're probably looking for series you can joke about being F'ed up over something silly, not anything like Berserk, Higurashi, or worse.

If you're just looking for regular series, I'm afraid I can really only give mostly bog-standard recommendations;

Sword Art Online (especially the Progressive and Gun Gale Alternative series), Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu, Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsu no Ma ni ka Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Spice and Wolf, Accel World;

those kind of things. Perhaps Gosick or Konyaku Haki sareta Reijou wo Hirotta Ore ga, Ikenai Koto wo Oshiekomu might be more what you're looking for.

Not exactly f'd up or anything, but I just hoped that everyone who haven't read it felt the same spiralling whirl of pure disappointment and wasted brain power from reading it, from a quite promising start (by the trend when it started), wringed through a wholly abysmal progression, and ended up with totally unmotivated 'ending'; if you even can call that as one.
