Yeah, byte is releasing actual hentai now, no bait, lewd or cop out stuff. Real deal. Think they released around the start of june? Pixiv has some of it.

I usually cringe at authors doing it when they use their own characters from their own normal manga (happened more than 3 times now, weirdly) but if it is stuff like byte does, more power to them.
Hope this author knows how to treat their own work and fans, too. They clearly 100% want to do hentai, changing her whole physique and demeanor 28 chapters in and yoloing a rather harsh shift in tone and writing.

Authors doing doujins of their own work is a common thing.

Some even do it out of frustration their own work ended early and wanted to tie things up/continue the story.

Doujin's just work you publish yourself. It's technically possible to put out a doujin of your own, officially-licensed work. Not sure how that'd work out legally, though.
