There's quite a lot of plot on this chapter, I must say. And ngl I kind of want a normal school festival arc (along with all the juicy plot), but chances are it'll devolve into another battle arc where Yuuto and his harem will fight for their lives/freedom against power tripping classmates again.

Ah yes, the Sports/Athletics Festival of Hell,
which makes up the majority of Vol.2 of the LN (ch.3-5 "plus epilogue")

The "battle" of Yuuto/The Lovers vs Mitsuishi Ibiza/The Devil demon king candidate
(or well, the whole "Yuugaoze Family/Miyabi" "crisis" arc)
would be over in this festival

(ch.3 of Novel) :v

p113.jpg

Neith is going to have a friendly bout with Yuuto in the Obstacle race event

Yuuto gets caught in a "black mud" (gate-portal, which connects to the demon world)

『Warning. Human will lose their life if they fall into it.』(-Lovers' Arcana)

As he's slowly getting dragged down by it, Neith/Nate, calling upon her Chariot ability [Top Runner (Supreme Reign Fastest)] goes back to help save Yuuto, and continues on as her chariot charges through the whole course on seemingly Yuuto's lane (which also became her lane) and proceeds to win the Obstacle race event in first place
(Yuuto gets disqualified, but he's fine with it seemingly enough since he was riding on the Chariot with Neith)

Neith seeming would start to have some feelings for Yuuto (as he help boost her confidence and such due to her timid and kind nature, she wins the obstacle race)

Obstacle race be damned, Neith on the move (Ch.5 of the Novel)

p209.jpg

Yuuto is the winner of the festival in the end and wishes for everything to return back to the Yuugaoze's/Miyabi's family as his prize-wish (all their former assets along with the former bitches/subordinates of Miyabi's/Yuugaoze's)

Although Headmaster Gandou also told Yuuto that he could also take down (disqualifying) one a fellow demon king candidate as a prize-wish for winning (though that did earned Yuuto the glaring gaze/killing intent of the other candidates at the festival, Stella included)

Mitsuishi Ibiza/The Devil was a major factor blow to Team Red (Judgement ; Hanged Man ; Devil) which resulted in their lost to Team White (Chariot; Star; Lovers) in the last event (the relay) and by point differences too

Mitsuishi Ibiza will get sent back to the shadow realm demon world as he "died" in the candidate fight that he lost to Yuuto; ibiza physically gets dragged down by the "black mud", forcefully, forever, never to return back to the human world

(this eventually happens soon after the Obstacle race event when he tried to set up a trap for Miyabi, which went awry due to Yuuto who followed after her)

Those who were "brainwashed" by ibiza in the festival also cheered for Yuuto (aside his Lovers' group Lizel, Miyabi, and Reina that cheered first; and his mom) when he got announced as MVP by Headmaster Gandou to come up to the stage

And then the novel met the same hiatus hell as DxD for years... :meguuusad:

Apparently the novel of this is the "First Part" of only 5 vol. and a sequel novel series "Part 2" is yet to be (according to a comment on MAL on the novel there) iirc

I think for DxD the "first part" that ends with 25 volumes and current onto its "sequel", True DxD (4 volumes atm); although the DX series (short stories compilations) is up to the 7th (March 2022)

Unlike how it is with Mahouka as well which now has a sequel novel series which has up to 6 volumes so far (Magian Company) that happens after Mahouka's novel series completion (33 volumes "High School" arcs)

I feel ya too :qq: :meguuusad:
:aquadrink:
