With a chapter like this I would have just held off until the next one was ready, it's essentially pointless on its own.

It's a very, how should I say, functional style? It feels a bit lifeless, but it's usually more clear what's happening than most manga.

So the demons had the high ground, time to fortify, and multiple projectile weapons. They have fast ground scouts and flying creatures to use as lookouts. Days of prep time and ample supplies.

And they still got ambushed by boats?

Thats stupid. It’s as dumb as the giant on Game of Thrones that doesn’t pick up a log and wipe out enemies or just throw dead bodies to break the encirclement. None of us are war experts but some shit is just obvious. No way you get ambushed on the high ground by boats.
