@wankerLin - they think they're in NTR hentai where the woman is like "I can't live without dicks anymore!".
Except they're in a fantasy world where being a thug is a form of suicide.
About the guild cards...
So Yuki's elemental affinity is water? The pattern looks like ripples in water, but I'm not sure here.
Lefi's is all too easy to identify.
@Phaaze
Yes, but technically the design on the cards does not directly relate to elemental affinity. They aren't going into it in the manga it seems, but apparently the designs that show up on id cards like this are all unique, and so it's too complex to actually figure out any specific meaning. Also Yuki's affinity for earth is noted to be almost as good as his affinity for water.
Its probably the demon blade with the FLOWERS 🌸 🌺 on it. Lol. I’m half kidding, but Lefi’s face is so adorbs. My woman...is one of the best lines he has said. Hahaha
@seekermoc : The specific term is 'maken' which in some variations would be translated as magic sword.
The 2nd kanji is specifically for sword, hence the joke.
For a related 'oof in translation' see McDonald's 'adult cream pie' (don't worry, it's SFW)
@welcome2atlantis: The 'ma' in 'maken' is also the same ma in mahou (magic), so it's not always related (and it's not the first time the joke with different meaning of the same character has been made)
For example, in a different novel
the 'mazoku' (most series translating it as demons) in that series actually refers to a race of humans who's been exposed to high density mana and mutated while retaining their sanity (those who don't just turn into monsters (mamono))
Although when the main character got her 'maou' title, its furigana is Evil Lord because it's not racist against demons specifically...(also because demons are actual race in that multiverse and she definitely isn't their lord, it'd be a certain golden beast...)
