MC is bad at using magic. He has a lot of mana but he waste a huge amount of it since he has a poor efficiency.
Also the old man is OP, his skill and stat are "normal" because he is old, but his knowledge make him realy stong.

Actually, I went and looked for the raws to check, and yup, it's supposed to be "ぬっー!!", which is sort of like "Wha-!!". Not sure how that got translated to "gotta!!!".

Tournament arcs are always boring, but the only saving grace of this one is that we at least get to see the Butler class in action..
You rarely get to see them in actual action... It's always just a couple of panels, or a frame or two showing the end result..

And yes.. he's OP ... that's the whole point of having a Butler, preferably from a long Lineage of Alberts and Alfreds..

How on Earth has he used too much magic? He has barely done anything. I don't actually remember his stats, but was his max MP very low? I don't seem to recall such a detail, but maybe that's it.

I assumed he meant magic left in En, but maybe it's just that he's got a constant drain from the wings and then pouring a ton of magic into a basic Fire spell through En, to use it as a jet thruster.
