The closest thing to a motivation the 'hero' has expressed is something along the lines of: "For a 'hero' to be a 'hero,' they need a worthy enemy. What’s important is balance. As long as there are enemies to defeat, I can remain a 'hero' in this world."

Huh… that sounds ridiculous. So he just wants to chase and hold on to his title.

Sounds like the guy to create his own nemesis because he lost his purpose in life.
