I believe it's because the text on the next panel has two sentences. The first sentence is what is supposed to go in the empty bubble, most likely.

Also if you care to correct these:
pg. 9, 4th panel the line spacing of "l [Break] ike" would be better as "like" as separating words by a single letter doesn't look good from a readability standard.
