Is this just an extra or has the manga been revived?

Since it's a prequel to the start of the manga showing how Dou-sama met Mr. Lizard I think it may be an extra. Yet, it was released in the beginning of January 2026 after the "final" volume of the manga had already been published in December 2025. So that might suggest there's no where else to include it except as part of continuing serialization.

No one, not a single soul, would complain if the author continued this.

Official JP Raw site confirms that 49 was a bonus chapter and 50 was a prequel, most likely released to match the first episode of the anime. 48 is still the canonical ending for now.
