I kinda amazed on Chastiel ability to overcomplicated things, thats a very rare talent on itself 🤣 Thankfully, for how much her subordinate trust her, I see that it never happen when she is 'on duty'.

To be fair, nearly all sorcerers over there are absolute douchebags and often worse then that, so she's kinda on point. Zagan and Barbatos are the exception and even then they're not exactly good people.

I see in the future... a blind cat-girl maid in Zagan's castle.
I wouldn't call Barbatos the exception, he got tamed by Zagan somewhat, but he is pretty much also a douchebag.

Yeah as others said before here, the clone thing was pretty obvious.

The only none-clone way I would've seen for this story, is the author trying to "subvert" our expectations.

Also pretty interesting choice to have the assassin org already destroyed, I would've thought it would become a source of conflict later.
And I'm always glad to get more catgirl. :win:

I wish this series had less conflict, or at least had a some more downtime. People are reading this series for the Elf/Wizard romance, but we spend chapter after chapter on fights with new side characters we’ve never met before.

Chill out, have a Hot Spring or Vacation arc after all that fighting.

I can only assume that the reveal here that the catgirl's blindness is magical in nature is foreshadowing Zagan being able to heal/reverse it, so she can peacefully live with Raphael again one she finds out / he shows up or whatever.

OH I WANNA PUNCH BIFRONS SO FUCKING BAD...
Why do you think Zagan gave Nephterios that letter that will punch Bifrons in the face (which he cannot block or evade) every time he looks at it?

That's one of the things I love about this manga. The sheer, unadulterated, "FUCK THIS MUTHERFUCKER IN PARTICULAR" energy it brings all the time. And it's always someone who has it coming to them.

I wouldn't exactly say that hating people who willingly steep themselves in dark magic and a culture that advocates psychopathy, corruption, and backstabbing is the same as hating someone for having different physical features.
Sure, but that's not what happened. That's not why she started to hate them. It's because of the same cliché we always see. And that's my point. They could've brought up the things you mentioned, but they didn't.

Sure, I get your point. I would assume that they wrote it very concisely here in the manga, and gave it more attention in the novel. It unfortunately happens a lot with adaptations.
