I do know that the artist since Kagaku na Yatsura. It was axed and the series is nothing but raunchy big fat boobs vs flat chested tsundere robotic.

Even though the manga is asspull, the novel is also employ the sketchy plot where MC can win with "Heart of the Cards". He somehow winning suddenly because the winning possibilities is always with him.

If it is true that the story is modified by the artist, then he should be banned from serialization and go back to hentai instead.

Not sure on that one, but the author of this ones novel has a large number of stories, some are just pure horny or messed up (redo of healer) others like this one are rather wholesome character driven worldbuilding ones (this one) and others have a high attention to details. (Sekai Saikyou no Assassin). They very much have shown how much they can shift gears and write very different stories.
Vs this artist, a few works of theirs seem to not stick to the source and shift away to focus more on the art style and echi.
