So it’s all Amon’s fault we have this arc.

I like the twist that he was an ass who tricked everyone and basically deserved to die

obviously it doesn’t justify black, but it makes some of his actions more understandable even if he just ended up becoming the same monster he wanted vengeance against

now the question is, will they tell Marco?

i hope Procell tells Marco.

Procell: I was born as a weak demon lord, just like you.

WTF are you on about bro, you literally have several S rank monsters.

Procell can’t synthesize a monster from scratch like other demon lords as his Creation medals work like fillers. He still needs medals from other demon lords as a basis to make new monsters. Think of it like a joker card.

He also has no powerful dominion or powers like Amon with fire or Dantalian with time; his dominion is basic creation magic, which has its limitations including that he has to have memories/knowledge of whatever he wants to make (eg: he can’t make cars since he doesn’t know what those are).

So he’s weak in that he doesn’t have a lot of direct firepower to fight by himself, and he’s only stronger the more subordinates and allies he has to collaborate. A strategist instead of a warrior.

In the quest for “super hitler”, people forget that that’s basically stalin…Amon fits the bill; an ally that’s only there to keep tabs with his rivals (US), and readily kills to get what he wants, your opinions be damned (purges/gulags).

Procell is weak...what? Since when? This manga deviate so much from the LN, it might just as well be a whole different story. And this one is even WORST then the original LN, which is almost an accomplished really.

I think I'm mentally ill because I keep returning to this schlok manga 😑

Considering her feelings for fire lord, she didn't suspect a thing. The dragon and time lord also appeared to regard him well enough so apparently, he pretended quite well to be a good friend.

IIRC, Marco was only dodging a deeper relationship with the fire lord in order to maintain relations with the time lord who she knew liked her too. I'm not sure if it's ever shown how she reacted to the gem gift since she must have known the fire lord had obtained that by killing a weaker demon lord.

It was also a public matter that the fire lord was a warmonger, so she basically had the hots for the strong "cool" guy.

So, Amon's an asshat who started this whole Black Demon Lord arc. Shame that Marco's character was 'assassinated', and the only people that's 'untouched' are Procell, his monsters/people, the other elder Demon Lords, and that young female Demon Lord whose name escapes me.

Not that our villain backstory character here is much better. He's got some friends, but he views everyone else as below him. He thinks he's fighting for justice, but it's nothing but shifting who's the oppressor.

They're really not the same. MC's got MC powers, which means the story tells us he's weak, but he's OP AF. Unlike the villain.
