Volume 1 didn't have enough sales to justify allowing the author to continue as a web manga, so they let him finish it off at the end of volume 2 which meant that the mangaka had to do like character development, story climax and conclusion in like 5 chapters, I'd say they did a pretty good job.Afterword makes it seem it was cut short? It certainly did feel that way...
Unfortunately, this is not just a recent event, it is pretty common for Yuri series to just get abandoned/axed, if you read any Yuri series from 2000-2015, majority of them are axed and some just straight up abandoned with no ending.Been getting a lotta stories cut short lately in the GL scene... is something happening?
Nonetheless, Maid does make the most sense of the bunch for the wholesome audience tbh. The others just werent given enough time to really grasp onto them aside from their surface level traits, so aint too unhappy with this, but wanted more.
