I figured at some point there'd be some final closure or reconciliation or something with Rei and his adoptive family... He's grown so much as a person since their last encounter, and I think one of the most beautiful things about that sort of personal evolution is being able to make something new out of old relationships that became dysfunctional. I never thought it'd be spurred on by something so dramatic, though...

We will finally get some closure with Rei and his adoptive, it’s been years since we have seen his step sister. I can’t wait to see what happens when he gets there.

while it would be nice to see some clousure with his adoptive sister not sure if will be possible, guess time will tell, since last time I recall she was angry he was moving on and even that he might get a "new family" but it will depends if she does grows too and accepts it and wow the chairman too! hope it's possible he recovers a bit.

I don't think something like this will make Rei regress, but there's still a bit of paranoid fear for him. Kyoko realized how harmful she's been towards him, but who knows what a situation like this will bring out in her, or her mom or brother. Hope this will go down peacefully.

Oh man, chapter started so whimsical for once and then bam! instant gut punch. But this was needed, it's been so long since Rei had any interaction with his adoptive family and closure is badly needed especially with Kouda and Kyoko.

I know it's irrational, but I'd have been much happier if the last panel showed an off-screen arm reaching out to smack Kaneko in the back of the head.
