I think Taichirou already knows that Maria is his wife, or rather, his ex-wife.

Despite her different appearance, she seems to have just gone back to her maiden name, and Mari turned into Maria.

He also by now realizes his sons death wasn't an accident and that the chief has been covering it up due to all the missing students being directly involved with her son.

Both Maria and her ex-husband are going to have to tread very carefully now that each side is fully aware of the other. If only she would communicate to him her plans they could be working together to help each other, but that wouldn't be good drama would it? 😅

Personally I think Husband is on the fence on if that is his wife or not.

My mind and thoughts are all over the place after reading this.

People are saying the Husband knows that “Maria” is his Wife. I even considered that (I kind of would like it to be the case), but does he really though?

Let’s say he doesn’t. He saw “Maria”…ALONE…so that tells Husband that Maria cares for safety of the students over her self. Caring/Kind/Sefless

Through the conversation he could tell the type of person the principal is. Principal says he will cooperate at best he can but then he immediately puts “Maria” in as a helper then whispers something to her. Husband asks if she is okay with that. He could be asking if she is okay with being used by that trash for what he should be doing. Is she okay with doing whatever the Principal had just whispered to her.

He didn’t react (bloodlust) when Principal got close and put his arm around her but when he whispered.
He did place his head down after they mentioned his son so he probably did see Maria’s reaction to it before putting his head down. May be the reason why he did…to get a further reaction from Maria.
