At this point I don't expect Taiichirou to be an ally to his ex-wife's bloody quest for revenge, if/once he learns about it. Would be a nice surprise if he did, since I feel Mari could use all the help she can get, and nobody else seems more appropriate for the job than her ex-husband and father of their murdered child... but I don't see that happening while he remains a cop.

Not to mention it didn't seem like he wanted revenge over his son's death (maybe he's still unaware/skeptical of the foul play, but that's super ironic considering his job as inspector). That "we can try to rebuild everything" line seemed insensitive of him for a man who just lost his only child. He had no words when Mari mentioned their son's name. More likely he's going to be just another obstacle on her road to vengeance, sooner or later.

Ooh Taiichirou! It's almost definitely better if you don't know what she's doing.

The amount of people here clowning on the kid's dad is INSANE considering neither parent knew what was going on until Maria happened upon the diary by chance, as her son purposefully hid it from them. The dad got blindsided by his son's death and suddenly his wife is leaving him, won't explain herself and decided to keep quiet about everything, meaning he still suffers social ridicule. She hung him out to dry in the name of single-minded revenge. To be mad at him for all that is fucking wild.

Maria ain't some hero. Even if the kids deserve what they get, she deserves FAR worse than anything she dishes out, seeing as she believes in disproportionate retribution. I honestly hope the dad finds closure and even ends up being the one to expose Maria. She wants to take road straight to hell alone. He needn't suffer for it.
first the dad even mentioning his son as the now deceased kiritaka (page 5), and him not believing her wife about not being a suicide specially since she saw him getting run by a car and calling him to help her because maybe he was getting bullied... so yeah, she didn't felt supported by his husband at all, guy got attacked by supposed abusing him but didn't try to defend himself by trying to reach the truth and as we saw not talking much with her wife.

also disproportionate retribution? , each stick she pulled on the first two moron where shit their pulled on his son and other victims.

Dec 15th? Bi weekly series and we have to wait longer now? Might as well make it monthly and make a 45 page per chapter.

In any case, the dad deserves the divorce and suffering. Should have paid attention to your son and trusted your ex wife's guts.
Man, he clearly said that nagare needs some privacy now and can handle the problems of growing up because he's in middle school and that is a pretty fair reason atleast to me why he didn't paid attention to his ex-wife's concerns. He's already an officer in crime department. He had much gruesome things to investigate but it's kinda poetic that despite being a detective, he couldn't investigate his son's situation.
