If Maria is smart, her next target is the parents. Fatso isn't much of a threat, and Maria is now aware that the reason Ringleader gets away with so much is that his mom is the chief of police, so if Maria wants to take down some of his power she needs to get rid of the mom. Whether that's through exposing the corruption or killing her, the mom needs to be next.
she won't do it. she could,of course but she's already stated that she has no intention of killing innocence: her targets are strictly the bullies and she want's to drag as few people into it as possible.

I dunno, thats more risky than going after Okaya directly. A lot of eyes on the Police Chief. And Okaya is controlling her every move.

Honestly, Ajiki is pretty smart, he's like a bystander that only watches the bullying happen, as seen in the flashbacks. He's still very shitty though since he partakes in it, but he's always just been watching, usually eating food and making bad remarks.

If Okaya goes down, i want Ajiki to have a play in it.

On the other hand, killing her son and exposing all his shit in a way that can't be covered up? That's the perfect revenge when you also consider the mental anguish of losing her son and helpless despite all her power. She'd become as broken as Maria, plus who will trust a chief that can't protect their own family?

I think this sentiment depends on cultural impressions in Japan around critical figures. To my understanding, it's pretty much acknowledge around the world that important figures, and their close ones, are more likely to be targets in the first place.

Taiichirou's looking so smooth with his expression/rizz that while Maria may be a mother and assassin first, she's still a woman, and can't help but feel butterflies/attraction to her ex-husband, whom she still loves dearly. This is so fucking cute lol, especially since so many people were convinced that Maria has become nothing but a monster, unable to feel things like love, affection, etc. while she's over here blushing like a middle schooler over her crush, like a true maiden-in-love 🥰

Up until now, I was pretty okay with Maria not getting back together with her husband after everything is over at the end, seeing as this is just not that kind of story, but what with the husband's recent involvement in the plot, and Maria's increasingly flustered sides we're getting to see directly because of him, I really want them to still continue being spouses, maybe even try for another child (even though it may be difficult for Maria since she's 37, but with modern medicine, it's not an impossibility), since one of the biggest grievances from Maria during the separation was that she couldn't understand how they could continue being a family even though Kiri-kun wasn't here anymore.

Someone mentioned the prospect of Maria starting an orphanage after the revenge is complete and that sounds like a good idea to me. "Maria's Orphanage." I really like the sound of that. She can run it together with her husband, thus living out her happy ending in peace and in loving memory of her son Kiri-kun.
