Big personal pet peeve of mine is whenever a manga draws someone "without" makeup and it's literally just the same drawing. Just don't draw attention to it if you aren't gonna go the extra mile to actually draw it

yeah it's hard to notice when the anime shoujo girls have naturally 'long lashes' tho other than like colored lashes or eyeshadow or so i also find it more noticeable when like a cosplayer puts on fake eyelashes/mascara or so even if the chara doesn't canonically seem to have 'makeup' on but it'd be more noticeable in color with like lip gloss and blush (tho that'd also make it seem like an ad)
