Ugh, I understand 'practicing' your smile during a customer-service job, but at the same time I feel people who do that aren't that genuine about providing service, especially after all my times talking with my coworkers in retail.

And don't even get me started if a customer asks 'why don't you smile more?' Maybe try working my position for a week and you can see for yourself? If they're making the most out of their job, great, more power to them. I'll just take everything I see with a grain of salt.

lol i can understand wearing a sports bra bc it's comfier but unless you have rly huge breasts, feels like sleeping in one would be uncomfortable versus an undershirt or even only that if u sleep in ur underwear

well, a woman's smile can be a 'weapon' ;P

apparently at JP mcdonalds you can 'order a smile' lol, wonder how many ppl wore masks more often to avoid that bc if that was a thing in america there'd prolly be protests/lawsuits to change it XD (tho tbh i just act robotic/go quickly and usually don't even make eyecontact/small talk so i wouldn't know if ppl go outta their way to smile at me XD)

I heard about that smile thing in Japan. It really makes you wonder what those people were thinking when they make such an order. Whatever reason it is, it just makes the job harder for the employee the majority of the time.

i wouldn't be surprised if JP mcdonalds was more 'family oriented' (tho given that ppl use rental gf/bf services b/c they're lonely, it makes sense that they'd want to order a smile to brighten their day a bit even if it's fake, tho i wouldn't be surprised if they charged now versus it being free), if not just better quality than the american brands but yeah it is a bit odd compared to say, a 'maid cafe' where they do those cutesy heart poses and phrases but i think i'd just stick to one of those 'family diners', b/c i'm sure some ppl are fine with polite small talk with the cashiers i'm sure some would just want to get a quick snack/meal and quiet corner to study in or so lol

(tho i'm sure at this point there might be younger teens applying or everyone just knowing it's a 'menu item' to where ppl who wouldn't wanna feel obligated to do so would avoid it [that said be amusing to see it as a comedy skit, if only as like an anime scene where someone has in like fake fangs or broken teeth to see ppl's reactions when they smile])

Yeah, I think I'd prefer the family diner, as well, now that you mention it. We call it 'fast food' for a reason, it's prepared fast, it can be picked up fast, we want it fast, and we can drive while eating it fast. With that said, it gets crazy busy and noisy during the lunch rush every day.

Family diners, on the other hand, while there's still that noise factor, there isn't as much of a rush to get things done so quickly, creating a calmer atmosphere, for both customers and employees, and the food as well as other things can be enjoyed at a more relaxed pace.
