And demon wants more "deadman" in the world for some reason i guess.
The invasion is just stimuli so that those with enough power will do the deeds.
Though I wonder why the demon's gift doesn't also includes a huge chunk of the material needed if that's the case. They control like, 90% of the world after all.

I assumed the reason Rosalie couldn’t use her magic was that crazy guy’s doing. He knows her and her power quite well, I imagine he wouldn’t do something as stupid as come unprepared to deal with her, even if he’s more powerful. But somehow after reading how things played out, I can’t imagine him capable of taking reasonable action. Especially how he was blindsided by the monsters when she was all he wanted.

Ever since those books were called "evil", or "seeds of evil" I had a suspicion those are some kind of demon spawning mechanism. Only from then, when they were called "dark arts" I was just confused as people were pretty accepting of undead.
